Update 4:40 PM - problem has been found and addressed, no damage to repair. Yay! Power should be restored within 30 minutes. We will update this post to confirm restoration time when it has been completed.
Outage reported at 3:55 PM on 9/2.
Crew is en route, no ETA for restoral at this time.
Affected areas include:
- Twisp-Winthrop Eastside Road (aka East County Rd) at 3.4 miles
- Hwy 20 from Autumn Lane to the Twin Lakes intersection
- Old Twisp Hwy
- portions of Evans Rd off the East County Rd
- Twisp River Rd from 4.49 to the end

A safety reminder for all: please, always treat downed power lines as live and dangerous. Assume it is LIVE, even it it is not sparking or making noise.
If you discover a downed power line, or a tree across the road near power lines, stay at least 30 feet away. Warn any others in the area, and call 911 or our office at 509-996-2228 immediately. Electricity can travel through wet ground and anything touching the line, so never touch someone or something in contact with it. If a line falls on your car, stay inside, call 911 for help, and only exit if it is unsafe for you to stay inside the vehicle. If you do exit, jump clear with both feet together and shuffle away. Never touch the car and ground simultaneously.
