OCEC members may experience occasional, brief power blinks over the next year as we complete important system maintenance designed to strengthen and modernize our electrical equipment.
To support long-term reliability, our crew will be performing two key upgrades:
- Fuse Replacements: Select overhead fuses will be replaced with modern, more efficient models. Each replacement will take only a few minutes, but will require a momentary power interruption.
- Transformer Connection Upgrades: Crews will also be updating certain overhead transformers with improved connector blocks. These upgrades will also only take a few minutes and will require a short, temporary outage.
Whenever possible, our line crew will notify affected members ahead of these brief interruptions. If you experience an outage lasting more than a few minutes – or one that occurs outside normal business hours – please contact our office so we can assist you.
